"Here are a couple of photos of the Steel Executive taken at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in September 1965. A Saturn rocket second stage (S-IVB-201) is being loaded on board. The Steel Executive arrived at Cape Kennedy on 19 Sept 1965.

My interest is the Saturn rockets but this involves the ships that carried the various stages. ...

The attached photos have recently surfaced from a former Douglas Aircraft employee who kept them in his garage for 40 years!"
