1910: BANTU acquired for 24,000 pounds from Bucknall Steamship Lines, Ltd. 
9/12/14: First Isthmian vessel to be U.S. flagged in New York. 
10/11/17: Requisitioned by War Department in New York. 
1/27/18: Refloated after being aground in Delaware Bay just below Marcus Hook for 2 weeks; major part of the cargo had to be removed. Vessel towed to Philadelphia with repairs taking 2 1/2 months in Philadelphia shipyard. 
7/7/19: Returned to Isthmian by the Shipping Board in New York. 
6/25/29: Leaves New York on final voyage under Capt. A.A. Lang for Valparaiso. After discharging, Greeks take over.
